Joli turban

In this week In the wool for love newsletter, a pattern to knit a very cool turban was given ! This is my version. I used a mix of rest of the skin from the mandarine headband and the dark blue wool from the fair island band sweater This is my participation for Les défis du fil

Polar bear

The last issue of Mollie makes had a interesting pattern to make a knitted polar bear designed by Sincerely Louise. I liked the animal heads she designs as well so making this bear was a good way to discover this designer world !  My bear has two colours as I used only yarn I had left over from…

Satisfaction coat

I have never sewn a coat and it seemed like an impossible project but when I saw the Satisfaction coat by Louis Antoinette Paris, I had to do it ! I love the lose cut and the collar ! I did not do the belt as I prefer the most relax version without belt. The coat is…

Double granny square cowl

I really like the colour combination in this scarf and my first idea was to make a scarf with sleeves like this one. I crocheted all the square and started to assemble the first sleeve (after a year of putting this project away and back in the project loop and then away again…).  Unfortunately, the sleeve…

Fair isle band sweater

After crocheting the Summer cardigan by Anna Wilkinson, I have knitted a fair isle short sleeve sweater by the same designer.  Compare to the original colours, I have chosen dark navy and mairmaid ! The wrong side of the knitting

Cable knit pillows

We got a new sofa a few months back so I wanted to make some super soft pillows to make it ours. I used a ball of sexy crazy wool for each pillow : one in stonewach blue and one in sherpa blue. I bought the wool during a sale on the Wool and the…

Nolita Sweater

In June We are knitters had a 30% discount on all its website so I could not resist getting the Nolita sweater kit in Aquamarine. It was a very quick make and now that the weather starts to cool off in Belfast, I will be able to wear it soon !

Summer pyjamas

I have been talking of making light cotton pyjamas for all the summer but I only took the time to sew them this weekend. After seeing the Ginghamalong organised by “did you make that ?“, I have chosen some light pink gingham fabric. The cord is made from the wax fabric used for the bento bag and the pattern…

From sweater to maxi basket

I knitted the Cocoon sweater a while back in March. It was my first ever knitted garment. Even if I was quite proud of it, I have not worn it at all : It is quite heavy and not easy to move in. I thought it was a shame not to make better use of this lovely…

Blue squirrel

With the rest of the grey wool from my summer cardigan, I have knitted a simple square and embroidered a squirrel with big cross-stitches to make a pillow for our new sofa. I really like this model from Erin Black. She used Tunisian crochet but I did not have enough wool to use this technique…

Mandarine headband

I was really lucky to win a skein of a beautiful blue yarn from Yukis in the sky when Rachel says yepa celebrated her blog one year anniversary. I have made a mandarine headband. The pattern is available here. The yarn I used is thinner that the one on the pattern so I cast on 41 stitches.

Camper van pillow

I was looking for an idea for a birthday present for a friend and when I saw the pattern for a Camper van pillow in the issue 45 of Simply Crochet, I knew I had my idea ! Only the front of the pillow is crocheted. I replaced the WV logo by her initials. This is…
