Summer cardigan

The first time I went through the pages of the Anna Wilkinson crochet book my mum gave me back in April, the first pattern I was attracted too was this lace cardigan.

I used some cotton from Wool and the gang to make mine.

Compared to the original pattern :

  • I did not add the pockets of the front. I have made them and saw them. However I removed them as it was too busy ;
  • I crocheted the border in a contrasted colour ;
  • I made the large size for the body and the small size for the sleeves.

    I’ve attempted to learn how to knit and crochet enough times to know I have no talent in it. Wish I persevered. Your cardigan is nice and unique, with the lace and pop of colour!

    Cute! I’ve been thinking about trying to make some cardigans for my teaching wardrobe, but I always think the patterns would be too difficult. You’re an inspiration!
